Why form a Friends Group?

A group of people who will voluntarily work to maintain, improve and promote Singleton Lake.

What are their aims?

To act as a pressure group to get things done.
To do some practical work to improve the area.
To fund raise for improvements.
To engage other local people, including young people and the elderly.

What are the benefits?

Increasing community cohesion.
Having a say.
Increasing appreciation and respect for the area among the local community.

What are the future plans?

To form a committee and agree a proper constitution.
To eventually seek charitable status.
